Pre Fire Planning

Our officers and firefighters are continually updating our information on risks within the county.

They develop plans of larger and complex buildings.  They survey hydrant locations and source water supplies which could be used in a fire. Premises with special risks such as hazardous chemicals, dangerous process are inspected and details recorded. The road and rail networks are mapped and procedures are put in place for various scenarios.

We are also involved in local and regional major emergency management groups.
