Computer and Internet access
Members of Westmeath Libraries can use computers for free, to type letters and documents and to practice their computer skills. Printing charges apply.
Internet access is available at all Westmeath Libraries. Internet sessions last for 50 minutes and cost €1.50 for adult members and €1.00 for children, teenagers, unwaged and old age pensioners. We also offer an Express Session which costs €0.50 and last for 15 minutes. Please ask at your local library for details.
Children and teenagers must have written parental permission. The Internet Permission Form / Seirbhís Leabharlainne na hIarmhí: Foirm Comhaontaithe Idirlín must be signed by a parent in your local library.
Restrictions apply on access to certain sites. For security, we cannot allow removable media such as memory sticks. For further details of our internet usage policy, please read the Guidelines for internet usage .
WiFi is available to members in Athlone and Mullingar libraries. You can log in to the wireless network with your library barcode and PIN. If you do not have a PIN please ask at the library desk. If you are not currently a member you can sign up to join our WiFi service for €5.00 a year. Please see our Wi-Fi Guidelines for further information.
