Celebrate Bloomsday 2011 in Mullingar!
This area of the county is particularly pretty with picturesque country scenes and easy access to lakes.
On your travels west in the county, you can visit Locke’s Distillery Museum in Kilbeggan – believed to be the oldest pot still distillery in the world!
In Mullingar, a lovely old market town, take a stroll to see the Joe Dolan statue one of the towns famous singers which stands outside the historic Market House.
